PROFILE
Omolara is a detail-oriented professional with an eye for research and program management within the development sector. Lara's interests revolve around Children, Technology for Development, VFD, Product Management, and Social Research. She has a decade years of expertise in a variety of sectors including communications and media, international development, digital safety, and design-user research/thinking. She has created advocacy campaigns for the protection of women and children, the inclusion of women in technology, as well as curated digital communication for the public sector in Nigeria.
Omolara's foray into development work dated back to 2013, while working as a Program Officer for TechHerNG demystifying technology for women and applying tech solutions towards societal problems, especially as they affect women. Since then, she has functioned in various roles as a Researcher with Girl Effect Nigeria, Voluntary Service Overseas, and holds a leadership role as a Board Member for Reclaim Initiative in Nigeria. She has been gracious to volunteer with various organizations such as CodeIT, YIAGA, Plan International to train young girls on how to harness digital platforms safely.
She is keen to develop her potential by pursuing a fulfilling career in an organization where teamwork supersedes individual effort, creativity is rewarded, and empowerment with accountability is a natural work culture. Being an enthusiastic and committed team player makes it easy to associate with people and influence them positively, passionate about bringing out the best in every person and organization.
